Can't Edit Text - And - How To Remove Large Photo From Gallery Section Page

Hi there, two questions (would you prefer I create two threads or put two in one?)

1)  I have created a subsection under my main gallery page, and have been setting up the info text etc at the top using the page designer.  I went in to tweak some of the text, and it won't let me edit that block.  It does let me edit other similar blocks.  When I hover over it the edit buttons don't appear at all.  

2)  How do I remove (and/or change) the picture displaying at the top of the section page?  It seems to automatically display the first photo I upload there.

Sounds like you have Gallery Exclusive mode enabled for the gallery. See attached. When you do it automatically adds a billboard to the page which isn't part of  the page designer.

Just wondering if you have any ideas on the first question?  I can't seem to do anything with that text, including when I duplicate the page - it's still not letting me edit those two text boxes.
