Can I block a user if they enter the wrong password 5 times for a gallery.

You would have to block their IP address with the .htaccess file. You would want to edit it through the file manager in your hosting control panel.

You may be able to block the IP address from the hosting control panel too.

Google: Bock IP address .htaccess file.

Most likely it is a bot or a hacker, You can block the IP like Tim said above, but in my opinion it will just be a waist of time, they /bot will just use another IP address. If it is a customer they will contact you eventually. I would not worry about it. I gave up on this same situation and blocking IP's, it was just a waist of my time.
