Access Denied When Uploading The Gallery Images

I have Sytist 2.2.0 and it has been working flawlessly but in the past few days, I am unable to upload images to new galleries.  Here are the steps that I use to upload images:

1.  Filezila to upload via SFTP to the subdirectory created on sy_upload directory with matching name as the gallery.

2.  Once the images are uploaded, I click the UP ARROW on the Sytist and a new windows opened up with the photo count showing up on the subdirectory.  I clicked on PROCESS and usually the Sytist will go through the stored images and filling it up my gallery.  This time, the screen gave me an error - ACCESS DENIED.  

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to solve this?  I need to upload a few images for my Corporate Clients.   Thank you in advance.

Suspect that your problem is caused by being on a sytist version that is over 6 years old.  

Has your hosting recently updated PHP?  What PHP version are you running?  

Thank you, Trailboy.  I didn't realize my Sytist version was so ancient.  I got the updates and it seems to work again now.  Thank you.
