Hi

Is there a problem with Sytist this evening, in the uk?

My web page is working, but I can not login to my admin page?

Many thanks.

Hi Tim

I have looked at this but I have unlimited space, but will contact my web host tomorrow to see if they can help!

Hi Tim

I have spoken to my website host and these were the reply.

so in terms of storage, the storage size itself that we offer is unlimited, but we limit the number of inode/files you can have on the hosting which is set at 200,000

I will check to see if you have reached any resource limits, please bear with me

He then checked and said

you haven't reached any resource limit and I have increased your PHP INI values so you shouldn't have an issue with the login. If its a custom site, you will need to your web designer to investigate the code for you to see whats causing the issue

What is the next thing I should try.

Regards

Adrian

When you try to log in does it say that information is incorrect or does it just seem to refresh the page?

If it says incorrect, then use the forgot password option.

If it just refreshes the page, did you try this part from the link I posted?

Another option that might allow you to get logged without increasing the space would be to edit the sy-config.php file that is in the Sytist folder through the file manager in your hosting control panel.

Remove these 2 lines IF you have them and save:

ini_set('session.gc_maxlifetime', 1800);
ini_set('session.save_path', $setup['path']."/sy-phpsessions");

It could be a PHP session handling issue on the server and that may fix the issue too.

Hi Tim

The page was just refreshing.

I have now removed the two lines in the sy-config.php file and I can now log into the admin page.

Is this a thing I have to do regularly or is this a one off.

Regards

Adrian

Since you removed those lines you won't do it again.

Thanks Adrian - I saw that and have contacted by hosting company for advice as that's a bit beyond me.  I don't think I'm getting quite the same issue but it's worth a try!

Luckily Easyspace have rectified the issue very quickly.  Although I have unlimited space, the database quota was incorrect, this has been sorted and now all seems to be working.

I have to say Easyspace are very quick to respond, highly recommend them for hosting!
