Is there a way of sytist picking up the tracking no and putting it in the shipping email automatically ?

There is not a way for Sytist to do that.

I didn't think the integration went that deep, but what I have noticed is that although the customer had chosen tracked 48 as their shipping choice when I clicked the ship / notify button the form had defaulted to Royal mail 1st Class which is the first shipping method and not the shipping method selected

Also, would it be up to Royal Mail to integrate into your system??

The csv file export from sytist for addresses works well, its just the completion step once the tracking numbers have been generated that lacks automation

The shipped by options are not connected to the shipping options you offer for the customer to select. It is just a list and you have to select the specific one.

Royal mail would have to be integrated by me but I have never looked into it.

Almost any courier is better and cheaper than Royal mail.

They have an appalling reputation, not helped by the current and utterly abhorrent horizon scandal.   Responsible for at least four suicides.
