Upload Speed Unknown Degrade

Hi Tim,

Not sure where to turn with this.

I am uploading 7000 photos  (around 1mb each) using my usual tried and tested routine.  I would expect it to take 3-4 hours, but has been going now 14 hours with each image taking about 6 seconds to go through.  I did an ISP (virgin media broadband) upload speedtest which is 52.7mbps and a reboot and restart after it started initially slow.

The only change I am aware of since my last load was an upgrade to the latest version of Sytist 4.5.5 (running on php version 7.4.33).

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Simon

Have you changed the watermarking, the dimensions of the photos or using Amazon S3? That plays a factor too on the upload process.

Nothing has changed in the upload process so the update would not have any effect on it.

Thanks Tim, nothing has changed from previous which is why I am surprised.  I guess it could be a one off.  I will try a test load again with the same files and see what happens and report back.

Hi Tim, it turns out that there was a mismatch with the package limits on my server account - (whatever that means!) - anyway they have corrected it and thankfully all is well on the upload speeds which I have just retested.  Sorry to bother you!

Cheers

Simon
