Enhancing The Unsubscribe Possibilities Of Automated Email
I have read the other posts regarding automated email being flagged as spam, and I agree that 'server reputation' will play a great deal into how email receiving servers designate spam/not-spam.
However there are two opportunities that could assist on the email content side of the equation, and I was wondering if these are already built in or if there is a way to sort out a way to implement them:
- The inclusion of a List-Unsubscribe header: While I have tried to review the outbound automated emails from our site, I can't say that I have seen the List-Unsubscribe header included in them. Is this something already included in the outbound emails, and if not is there a way to include it?
- Recipient management of Unsubscribe: Is there a generic Unsubscribe page that a recipient could be directed to and then add their own email address (i.e. https://www.website.com/index.php?view=unsubscribe)? Is there a page a customer could be sent to so they could manage their own subscriptions within their account?
Thank you in advance for reviewing!
You could make a blog page with a form, then in customers account select op-out for their email. There is no automated process for this.
There is an unsubscribe link added to the automated emails.
I did a brief search into the list unsubscribe header and looks like it might require server adjustments.
I will make a note of this.
