I created a new page in my main menu on my homepage but Im not being given the option to creat a new service or even under it like my other headings .please help!

I'm confused. Did you create a new "Menu link" in Design -> Menu Links? And you are wanting to create a dropdown menu? If so, click the "more options" link when editing that menu link.
Or is it a section/category you created and wanting to add a page?
