Most likely they change the PHP version to 8 and you are on an older version of Sytist. Have you applied the new update you got?

Just like I wrote in the reply to your email about this yesterday, that is mod security ON THE SERVER causing the error.

Your host is blaming the software WHICH HAS NOT CHANGED ON YOUR SITE.

It is 100% a hosting issue with mod security or something similar. Your HOST needs to fix it.

Most likely a 403 server error. 403 error is usually caused by triggering mod security on the server  (or ModSec). Mod security is good but also has false positives.

You would need to contact your hosting company support and let them know you are triggering it and they can whitelist the rule you are triggering.

Thank you, i have passed this on to them again.
As you can imagine not having a functioning gallery system has put my business on hold and I'm struggling with being brushed off.
I hope to get back to work quickly.

When using the auto-update from the admin and it seems to hang when trying to unzip, then the ZIP functions are not enabled in the PHP (programming language) configuration on your hosting.

You can either enable the ZIP functions in PHP from your HOSTING control panel or contact your hosting company and ask them to enable the ZIP functions in PHP.

Then you can apply the update in a few clicks.

Everything I have told you had been true and again,  this is 100% a hosting issue. You need to ask for higher up tech support or move to a new host.

I don't know anything about that. Seems to be an issue possibly between your ISP and host. But that is beyond my area of knowledge.
