Install Never Completes

Have tried 3 times including completely wiping root dir (empty) and creating another new DB. Same thing happens every time. I run the /install , MySQL shows successful connection, select continue, and it loads a blank index page with simply "Sytist Installation" at the top.  I've installed older versions several times without issue on the same VPS host, so I have no idea what the issue is. Error log pasted below, seems to be a DB issue. 

The duplicate entry errors means those tables exist already. That message shouldn't happen with a clean install.

What PHP version & MySQL version are you running?

MySQL - 8.0.28-0ubuntu0.20.04.3
PHP 8.1 FastCGI

That MySQL 8 might be the issue. I haven't used MySQL 8. I have a fix for something with MySQL 8 in the next update (add export item fields). 

Can you change the MySQL version to something lower and try again?

OK, although the old version of Sytist was running on the same instance with no problem. I don't think I can choose the version on Dreamhost but will ask support. What is recommended?

But you if you want you can email me the hosting login info, the domain it is being installed on and where, I can try myself to see what is going on.

It could be mostly compatible with MySQL 8 and just something with the installation process.

But it won't be until tomorrow morning before I can mess with it.

As another option, if we move this particular store to Sytist hosted, can I use a custom landing page? I built a landing page on the old version of Sytist, basically just embedded the Sytist photo search function into a simple index.html form.
