Tax Not Charged On Order - Same Province
Hi,
I have an order where tax was not charged for no reason.
Address is in the same province, all settings seem to be right, the item is taxable but out of nowhere for this order there was no tax charged.
I just want to understand why to avoid problems in the future.

it would be more helpful if you posted a screenshot of order, and of the product as set up in your products list, sytist version and PHP version. If a customer has used a different shipping address and that has not been set up then it will not charge tax, but without seeing those items i listed it is a shot in the dark. also if you have a pickup option you need to put that in in the tax table.
Thank you, For security purposes i would remove those screenshots, always black out customer email and phone. Very strange, i know there was a bug in a earlier sytist version. But i also see that the download is 15.00 but the total was 40.00 3 downloads would be 45.00 so what else was included in that order or was it a collection and you did not apply tax?
Also check the customer account, by going to the customers info and click edit, down on the bottom is a tax exempt tick box. Make sure that was not accidently checked.
Here are the screenshots again, uploaded the wrong versions, was in a hurry.
There are quantity discounts on the downloads so therefore the $40 total, the amount is exact but there should have been taxe on it.
The customer does not have an account but that shouldn't make a difference either or never made a difference in the past.
I can't see or think of any reason for it not to be charged tax. I have tried to duplicate the same scenario many times now and can not duplicate any issue. May have been some sort of network glitch. If it happens again maybe we can find something in common.

Has anyone had these issues since or worked out why this would have happened?
It never happened to me again, so I assume it was a random glitch, never found a problem or found out why it happened that one time.
Make sure the product(s) they purchased are marked as shipable. Edit the item(s) to see.

The product is set up correctly and we have sold it before and the GST was charged on it. We have had this happen once before for no reason at all.
We have also had this issue a number of times over the years.
