Uploaded Photos That Have Broken Links To Amazon S3

I have broken links to photos that were originally uploaded to S3. The S3 is no longer being used and these links are now dead. When I try to delete all the photos the system just hangs on "deleting images in the que". After hours, and I pause the deleting process the same amount of images are still in the deletion que. How do I delete these images?
