Photos Upload Out Of Order
Hi,
My photos are constantly out of order (randomly arranged) after upload and I don't know how to fix it.
I'm uploading with creating subfolders and there is always a mix of JPGs and PNGs in each subfolder.
I upload from a Mac and in Finder everything is in order. Once uploaded I have to go into each sub-gallery to manually rearrange them which takes so long.
Files are name "Forts_Chambly_22-23_M11AA_008_00001", "Forts_Chambly_22-23_M11AA_008_00002", etc. See example photo of folder/file structure.
Does anybody have a solution for that?
Thank you,
Sabine
Apple has an issue uploading in order when uploading folders of images.
In Settings -> Photo Settings you can check this option:
When uploading folders of photos to create sub galleries there is a bug in Apple products where the folders and photos are not selected and uploaded in the correct order. Checking this option it will go through a process to set the order of the photos and sub galleries once the upload is complete.

Thank you Tim, unfortunately it doesn't change anything. Photos are still not in order after upload...
It sorts the photos in the gallery after the upload process. It won't change the existing galleries.
If that doesn't work and the option to rearrange photos in the gallery in the admin does not work then the filenames must be too long to get them sort alphanumerically.

Yes, I know, I uploaded more but still the same, arranged completely random.
I'll try another one with shorter file names.
And what do you mean with "the option to rearrange photos in the gallery in the admin".
Thank you!
Ah ok, yes I know that option just very time-intensive.
Shorter file names don't change anything either, photos show up in random order after upload and I have to manually arrange each sub-gallery.
I feel your pain :(
If you ever find a solution, let me know!
