Rename Folder Option Not Appearing

Hi, I created a subcategory under a section but cannot see the 'rename folder' tab as I normally do - the only difference with this subcategory is that I further divided it into 2 subcategories (boys and girls) - any idea how I can rename the leading subcategory? screenshots attached. Thank you

If there are sub categories under the category it will not give you the option to change the folder name. You would have to delete the sub categories first.
