I can no longer create coupons or view shopping carts of customers.

Which version are you using ?
There were problems with 4.1.9 that where solved in 4.2.0, read this :

You've updated your Sytist but the PHP (programming language) on your hosting is really old, PHP 5. You or your hosting company need to update the PHP to at least PHP 7.4
