Custom Fields For User Accounts

Is there a way to have custom fields for user account so I can categorise them for example and then filter to see a list of customer related to x or y ?

There is not an option for custom account fields at this time.

I would love the option to create custom fields for accounts, Then this becomes a much more useful CRM software which this is SO close to being :)
