Wrong Image Showing Up In Shopping Cart

I tried to see if this popped up anywhere else and didn't see it so sorry if a repeat. Background: I do T&I sports photography and I have a league up now with about 1200 pictures. Had a parent call and said when he clicked on a photo, clicked on of my packages and put it in the cart, it was the next image in the series that was showing up. I hopped online and was able to confirm this happening. I deleted the cart and tried again...but didn't happen. He deleted the cart and tried again and it worked. I've had a handful of people over time say the wrong image was chosen. It doesn't seem to happen all the time but I was able to reproduce. I tried again so I could screen shot it but of course it didn't happen to confirm! Any suggestions?

I would need screenshots and the exact steps to duplicate this to even look into it.

Ok I'll try and replicate myself...wouldn't do it again for...but I do get a handful of people that sometimes say they ordered something different so it's happening just not all the time! I'll try to get some screenshots for you. Thanks again!

I am experiencing this as well.  An increasing amount of customers are ordering the photo before or after the photo they're intending to purchase.  I don't know if it has to do with swiping on a mobile device, the before/after arrows, or a glitch.  I can't get it to replicate the problem.

I had this happen, BUT i concluded after looking at the images for that person, she looked at one image 6 times and the one she said she got was another and only viewed it once I confirmed the one she ordered was the one she looked at 6 times and downloaded that image. She even sent me the image she said was wrong, but it was the one she looked at 6 times. My conclusion was she wanted a free image. Tim any insight? Could it be they added the image, then changed their mind and removed it, and the new image did not over write the original choice?

@ Vance Birno

My situation is not anyone trying to get a free print/image because it is school pictures, and I only upload one image of each student.  They're getting the picture of a different kid, either right before or after the child they're intending to purchase.

I've often found that the left / right swipe action for changing images is too often triggered by the up / down action, probably caused by the thumb arc movement.  Vertical scrolling, if started on the thumbnail image, has to be dead vertical to not trigger a left / right action.  This might be one explanation.

Think I started a topic on it some time ago, but can't find it.  I'd prefer no swipe action to be honest, requiring a hard press on the direction arrows.

Were all the relevant orders placed on mobiles?

What Sytist version are you on?  Are you storing your images on S3 ?Are you using passcode photo option? Have you noticed a repeat pattern on certain devices?  Mine was on a passcode gallery. Do you change the file name of the image? And if you do, do you have any special charecters or spaces in the file name? An accidental space, even at the end of the file name may cause issues.

I have tried many times to duplicate this but can not. Even if swiping or using the next / previous arrows, it's not just the photo changing, the entire product list, add to cart, etc... also changes to the next photo.

Are these purchases a la cart or adding photos to a colleciton?

Passcode photos gallery or a standard gallery?

I'm on version 4.7.3

I do not use S3.

None of my galleries use a passcode.

I don't know what devices my customers are using, but I'm assuming mobile.

The file names are very specific, as they include the grade and Last_First name of the students. I use underscores, not spaces.

Is there a way to turn off the swiping?  I'd like to test it to see if that alleviates the problem.

Can't disable swipe. Swipe only works when swiping over the photo and it just triggers the next / previous action.

I wonder if they are viewing a photo, clicking a product,  then hitting the back button instead of clicking back to product list. But doing that it shows you the previous photo again before selecting another product.
