It is very important for my clients to get a printable invoice. This could perhaps be a pdf, however just a web based invoice is not legal in Australia. Is there any automated way to do this?

There is no automated way. You would need to view the printable order / packing slip from the admin and print it to PDF.

I've just had a client inform me that our invoices are not compatible with their accounting package and are requesting pdf invoices. Tim - Can this be an automated feature i.e. an option to create invoice as pdf when sending or just the ability to print as pdf from the back-end?

View the order.
Print / Packing Slip tab.

Would love to request this! Pretty much all my corporate clients need PDFs so it would be so cool to be able to sent them through the cart.

Hi
I've just emailed you Tim about this. The PDF invoice that is sent has "Order" on it and not "Invoice". Their accounts dept has rejected it and I've had to greater an Invoice my old way through Excel that had "Invoice" on it!
How can I change the text on the "printable order / packing" slip layout?
Or can a printable "order / prin Invoice" tab be added?

There is not an option to change the word for order.
Something you can do is right click where it says order and select Inspect (inspect element). Then change the word Order to Invoice and hit enter. Then print to PDF.
