Here in Canada (BC) as a photographer charging taxes has 2 (simplified for sake of discussion) ways of doing this.
1 - if somebody buys a hard copy (print / cd etc) of an image(s) then when invoicing as the creator I would charge both GST and PST.
2 - If somebody gets image files "electronically" such as downloading directly from a gallery, via email or a service like DropBox where "the creator does not provide a product that one person can physically hand to another person" then only GST is charged.
Is there a way to select what tax is charged on an individual product basis?
For example; a person buys -
1 8x10 print and 1 download file (both GST + PST charged) or
just a Download file which is delivered electronically (only GST is charged)
Of course this would not be the case on a "free download" but those download files that the creator is charging a separate fee for.
If there is a way to do this any info would help.
If there is not a way to do this is it something that future versions could include?
As it stands Sytist only has the option or charge tax on everything or charge tax on nothing.
Thanks!

There is currently not a way to do that but it is something in my notes to look into.

Is this something that has a solution now? I can't find a way to set up GST and PST separately.
