Advanced Page Design With Booking Calendar Category

End of the year and things have slowed down, so I decided to start playing with the new Page Templates. I created a new page to help my clients schedule their appointments.

Actually, I updated a Section and I have gotten good reviews on the design and simplicity. https://solarisstudios.com/galleries/schedule/

Now I want to take it one step further, but I need to ask if I am approaching this the right way to avoid spending hours of deigning for nothing.

My Section page funnels visitors into different Sub Categories, each representing a different type of scheduled calendar service. For example, weddings, executives and portraits.

Each of these Sub Categories shows a list for all of the Services offered under that Category.

Section (Booking Calendar) -> Category -> Services.

Schedule -> Corporate -> Headshot

The Section is set tp a Booking Calendar with Layout -> Page Listing Layout -> Booking Services With No Book Now Buttons. I did this as I like people being able to see the details of each individual Service with sample images.

This then brings me to the meat of my design question.

I want to use the new Advanced Page Design to redesign the Category page which lists all of the individual services under that particular Category.

As you already know, the Category page automatically lists the services, with each item listed linking into that individual service.

Wha is the best way to go about redesigning the Category pages? After adding services, it appears the layout of those services on the Category page are not editable using the Advanced Page Design.

Should I make a template for my Category pages using Photo & Text Split Columns, and have the photos link to the individual services?

Here is what one of my Categories looks like now:

I have attached a very simple mock up of how I would like to restructure my Category Page. I’m sure I would tweet it much further once I have my direction.

Sorry for the long explanation. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The services listed on the page are not editable with the page design, but they will appear under anything you add with the page designer. So you could add some design elements to the top of the category page then have those services listed underneath.

Another option is if you want to manually add each one like you did on this page, https://solarisstudios.com/galleries/schedule/, is to edit your corporate sessions section, click Layouts -> Page Listing Layouts and set items to show per page to 0 and it won't automatically list those out on the category page.

That is a real nice layout for the booking calendar.  Was this done with a regular gallery or store page and then adding a book now button from the event.  I am having trouble with the native booking calendar and it not wanting to be right justified.   Thanks.
