Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Finally got all my images uploaded for the week, but they are displaying in landscape orientation, but the originals are PORTRAIT!!! How, or can this be fixed???!!

Sounds like they are not actually rotated before you uploaded them. They may look rotated on your computer but probably aren't. You will need to make sure the orientation is correct before uploading.

LOL, I'm telling you, this batch was treated no different than any other in the past several years, yet it has been one problem after another. Nothing that has happened with this gallery makes sense.
So again, I have to go through the whole process AGAIN, if they are to be displayed correctly?? SMDH

Maybe your host changed some things that changed the PHP settings. Nothing would have changed in Photo Cart at all.

Tim, I sincerely appreciate your assistance, but nothing is making sense. I've uploaded this gallery of 6K+ images twice this week. And a gallery with only 350 images. That gallery, through the exact same workflow, went flawlessly and correctly online on Tuesday morning. Got me swingin' !! lol

I don't know. Maybe the photos are from a different camera? Something may have changed in your workflow somewhere.

That crossed my mind, because I do have a "second shooter" that works with me, but I checked my personal gear and both are set exactly the same, and the one actually shot about 3K of the images over the weekend, and the two other shoots this week that the galleries went up without a hitch. I even compared the "batch actions" on the 3 computers that we used to batch the images. Can't find any difference.
Anyway, your answers about Sytist have me really considering it. I just don't have time for much of a learning curve, or even the "set-up" that will be involved. Maybe in late spring when my schedule eases up. Hopefully Photocart gets me through until then.

How did you get it sorted, not changed my workflow and images uploaded landscape instead of portrait and cannot rotate?
