Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

When going to Manage Customers under a gallery the pop up window gives a Gateway timeout error. Cannot add customers to galleries.

Gateway Time-out

The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.

It sounds like an issue with your host. Does it take a long time then get the error or does it get the error right away?

It takes awhile. I increased the max timeout to 900 on the php.ini file. If you hammer it it works 1/20 times but every other receives the timeout.

Maybe it is the amount of customers in your system. Go into the PHPMyAdmin in your hosting control panel and select your tables and select to run an optimize command.

Same result with running optimize tables on all checked. This issue came about when our host, dreamhost, migrated our VPS to another server.

Then it sounds like an issue with the server. Might need to get your host to look into it.
