Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Unable To Connect To The Databaseaccess Denied

So GoDaddy did some changes or something recently. My main site still works fine but when you click the PhotoCart button link on my main page you now get this;

Unable to connect to the databaseAccess denied for user 'pcartrm'@'72.167.183.47' (using password: YES)

Here is what GoDaddy sent me two weeks ago.

We are migrating one of the databases on your hosting account rmichaelimages.com in 14 days. This means its IP address will change and, depending on how you set up your websites, could cause your site to go down. How this migration affects you depends on whether your site is configured using your database's host name or its IP address.

Can someone help with this as to what I need to do? Thanks

Bob

The database host name probably changed.

You will need to get the new database host name by viewing the database info in your godaddy hosting control panel.

Then edit the setup.php in your Photo Cart folder and update the $setup['pc_db_location'] variable with the new database host name.

Thanks Tim, that did the trick. I figured it out while waiting on hold with GoDaddy to get the new host name. My PhotoCart is back up and solid. Thanks!
