Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Suddenly Customers Are Experiencing Gallery Login Issues

I've just had a client contact me advising that they haven't been able to log into their account. On checking they are quite correct.

I've attempted to log into the gallery directly using the gallery access code as they were instructed to do, which results in a grey screen and no progress.
I then created a client account for them and tried logging in through the standard account 'log in' tab - which results in a horizontal 'candypole' waiting bar, with no progress (attached).

The only thing I have been able to work out so far is that the browser used seems to have an effect - neither Chrome nor Firefox (both latest versions) will log in but Internet Explorer (v11.0.14) will.

No error messages being generated, PC version is the most recent and everything was working fine the last time I checked that end (about 4 weeks ago), so I'm not sure what has changed. I know WP was updated a few days ago but that shouldn't impact on PC

Have any changes been made to the Photo Cart files or have any changes been made to the .htaccess file in the main website?

Can you post or email a link and access code so I can test?

Hi Tim,

no changes at all that I'm aware of - that's what makes this so odd. If there had been a general change in a browser, or some other more global event I'd be expecting more people to be having issues and with more services than Photocart.

I'll email you a link and access now
