Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Hey guys

For some reason I have no thumbnails displaying, in fact no display images as well.
the only time I can see an image is if I upload a cover photo or hover the "zoom image".

I've regenerated images & thumbnails, but it stays the same.

Thanks

You should disable the thumbnail encryption (tn.php). That function can be a strain on the server and cause issues and probably why your thumbnails are not showing. In your Photo Cart admin go to Settings -> Gallery & Image Layout.

The option "Select function to display thumbnails" set to Standard Thumbnail and save (see this screen shot: http://www.picturespro.com/sy-misc/disable-thumbnail-encryption.JPG )

Hi Tim, I was making some changes with config files on my server, now I have this same problem. They worked yesterday with encryption method, today they don't. I know this isn't a Photo Cart problem, but hoping you could point me in the right direction as I'm not even sure what to google for.

Did you disable the encryption on the thumbnails? And if so, do they work then?

Yes, it works with standard, but prefer not to leave it that way. Is this a php version issue? I am on 5.4

There is no reason to use the encrypted thumbnails since version 6. A hash is added to the photo file names so even if someone where to see the photo file path for the thumbnail, they wouldn't be able to guess the file name for the large or original.

And for the tn.php file not working, probably because of the PHP version.

I use thumbnail watermarking, so it's worth it to me to use encrypted. I'll see about downgrading to 5.3. Thanks.
