Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Issues With Customers Placing Orders And Getting Error Messages

Hello,

I am having trouble with my customers getting on photo cart and placing orders, and once they go to check out and pay by card, they revive an error code that states, "Order ID Number is invalid." The customers do not know what to do, therefor they keep placing the pay button and the order goes through multiple times. Now we are faced with having to issue refunds. I operate and maintain photo cart for a university, so we have a very broad range of customers from all over the place. It is a pain in the butt to have our payroll office issue refunds over and over again, and it is pertinent that this issue gets resolved quickly. Does anyone have any information that could help me? I am currently on version 6.1.3. I know updates are available. Could that be my issue? I have contacted my payment processor (Authorize.net) and they insist that everything is A-OK on their end and the issue must be with the site itself.

Thank you in advance for any assistance!

Sarah,

Did you ever determine a solution to this problem? I'm having the same issue *frown*

Hi Patrick,

We sort of found a solution. The IT guys at my university thought that our FTP client was acting like a firewall and sending out an error code after the order successfully went through. The clients didn't know it went through, so they placed the orders again and again. The IT team went into the code of authorize.net and entered a default "Thank you for your order etc." message that now appears instead of the error code. Not an ideal solution, but it works nonetheless.

Thanks Sarah ... I just implemented the same thing based on your reply *frown*. If I figure out the solution or root-cause, I'll let you know.
