Attention
If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.
You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

So my photocart website is full of ads and popups. ARGH! I haven't been on it for a while and haven't kept it up to date.
What is the best way to go about removing all the bad stuff? I have no idea how it. I had Tim install it for me so I don't know anything about the internal structure of the site. Am I going to have to destroy the entire site and database and start from scratch? I suppose that wouldn't be a horrible thing, there are so many fake bot-generated users that purging everything might not be a bad idea.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Most likely the text has been edited and if you go to Customize -> text & language and then click the link to edit all text, you might be able to find it there.
You could re-install from scratch and might be easier. You can email me for the installation files. I will need your registration key or order number to reset it.
