Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Custom Css For A Full Featured Mobile Version?

Has anyone done this already that would be willing to share their custom CSS ?

I made a rough draft using custom CSS in the theme edit page for a full featured mobile version, where the user can purchase. It's a responsive design keyed off the resolution, so you could even just drag your browser window smaller, but it would look dumb on a desktop since the fonts are huge.

I realize it's wonky, but I'd rather have a weird mobile version where they can buy than use the full desktop site. Using the built in mobile version is out of the question since the user can't make purchases, which doesn't make sense, since this is shopping cart software at it's core, but I digress.

http://www.caliphotography.com if anyone is curious to try it.

Hello Brian. There are 2 CSS themes that i use that work great and that are well know in the web dev community. The first one is Bootstrap and the second one is Font Awesome. These 2 complement each other very well with responsive design capabilities, rendering from computer to tablet to mobile devices.

Bootstrap

Font Awesome

I use these in my everyday development for personal and professional site development. These will absolutely get you started in the right direction. Hope this was helpful to you.

Happy Developing!

Hi Kenneth,

Sure, copy and paste this file into the additional CSS section in "edit my theme" page. It's important to note I've turned off the "mobile version" in the admin options. Also, I've done other modifications to my site in the code for adding other features, so no idea if it works plug and play. It should work though, give it a whirl and edit away! If you come up with some great stuff, share it back.
