Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions. 

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Help!!!

My emails have stopped working on photocart.
We use the manual processing method for credit cards and the emails with 1/2 the credit card information have stopped working.

The hosting company did an upgrade to the control panel but I am not sure what that could do to photocart.

HELP!!

Mine won't either. It sends me an email saying that they are "undeliverable due to a permanent error because it is unable to verify that it came from a legitimate email address".

Kori, might want to ask your host about that one. It is sending, but getting returned for another reason.

Yahoo and Gmail is also refusing emails that come through Pictures Pro. I just tried my own domain, none are accepting the emails from the Pictures Pro system. Could this be an XP based security issue now with authenticated emails from the photo cart?

I get my order notification email, but no customers get the order placed email or information.

Just to clarify, the emails are not coming from Pictures Pro, they are being send from the server your are hosting on through Photo Cart.

It could be because you are not using an email address @yourdomainname.com in the Settings -> Basic Settings. If you have an email address @yourdomain, change it to that in Settings -> Basic Settings.

Also you can try in Settings -> Mail Sending Settings the option for "add return path field", change it to the opposite of what it is now and save and see if it makes a difference.

Are you trying to sent mail with a sender address of something similar to me@yahoo.com from a server which is NOT part of yahoo.com? That would always be bounced because Yahoo has DomainKey and SPF records in their DNS MX (mail exchanger) entries which identify bona fide Yahoo mail servers and your server would not be in that list.

Just to clarify, I have changed nothing in my admin or anything with my email address. I just placed test orders and stopped getting client emails and clients stopped getting emails as well. Something changed somewhere and it wasn't on my end. None of that trouble shooting you said has worked.

Hi
My problem has been fixed.
I changed the email address used by photocart to xxx@mydomain.com.
Then I forwarded it to the email address my customer likes in hosting control panel.
Works like a charm.

My guess isthat the hosting company changed something as the original email we were using was a yahoo email.

I can no longer share a link to a gallery with my clients. I have been using photocart for over 3 years now and have sent links for the past 3 years. Now the email sends a failure notice which is sent to my spam folder. Please advise. This is the message i get.

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at outbound-ss-1295.bluehost.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

I'm still unable to find anything in either my email settings or in the admin cart system settings that resolved this. What do you suggest I do? Where so you suggest I set up another email that will allow me to receive emails from my system and communicate with clients.

You really need to check with your hosting company. Photo Cart is sending out the emails, but the host or something else is rejecting them.

For those of you who have your own access to your mail server settings on a Plesk platform (usually on a VPS) we found the following which caused our emails to stop sending

On your main Plesk dashboard, go to:

Tools & Settings>Mail Server Settings>
Then under the heading: 'Switch on limitations on outgoing email messages' make sure that the 'Allow scripts and users to use Sendmail' box is checked.
