Attention

If your Photo Cart is suddenly getting a 500 error or only displaying a blank page then you or your hosting company has updated the PHP (programming language) to PHP 7 which Photo Cart is not compatible with (and will not be compatible with) mainly because of the removal of the my_sql functions which are replaced with my_sqli functions.

You would need to have the PHP version downgraded to 5.6 in order for Photo Cart to work. If downgrading the PHP doesn't work then you may have to update Photo Cart to the last version of 7. Download Photo Cart 7 upgrade files. Upgrade instructions.

Photo Cart was retired in 2015. Check out Sytist.

Is Square payment also available for PhotoCart ?

Tim, I guess you added the Square payment to Stylist...but I hope you added that to Photocart too. I would like to add Square to my cart too.

Thanks
Paul

Square won't be in Photo Cart. Photo Cart is no longer being developed or offered.

Thanks Tim.
I understand. I looked at Sytist but since it totally different, I would have to learn a completely new software, menus, where things are, etc.. which is no simple task unless you have a lot of time to devote to that.

Didn't I see somewhere that you offer Photocart owners 50% off if I decide to go that route ?

Thanks Tim.
Is there a page that explains how Square is used as a payment option? I did the demo cart and was buying a print and got to payment page and see where the CC info is to be entered, but does Square work that way too ? Where the customer would never know they are using Square ? They would just enter the CC info on the same Sytist payment screen ?

If so, then i assume I would have to set up something in Sytist to use my Square info ? right ? Or do they get "redirected" to the Square site to pay now ?

This Square payment ability is one of the big reasons I would switch from Photocart to Sytist.

Thanks
Paul

Square works that way too, the customer enters in their credit card info right on the site.

To set it up in Sytist, there is a link when editing that payment option to go to a developer page on Square's website where you just create an ID and Access Token that you will enter into the settings in Sytist for the Square payment option.
