I am currently hosting all my photo storage through Amazon s3 and have done so for over 2 years now. I am finding that it was cheap way of storing uploaded files - thousands and thousands per gallery - but now I am paying around 40AUD a month which is getting too much. I am now having trouble figuring out how to remove files from 2018 - Which I removed from sytist - but for some reason - they must still be in Amazon s3 storage. Can anyone shed some light ??? I though when I deleted them from Sytist - that they automatically are deleted from amazon s3 as well ....im sure it said that in the prompt when deleting on sytist.

Found answer to my own question ! Just log in to Amazon S3 - go to services, S3 and then delete "buckets" from unwanted files that you are storing. It doesnt happen automatically when you delete photos in sytist - you need to enter here and do it. Otherwise the storage bill keeps growing the more you host the photos in Amazon s3.

Sytist does delete them from Amazon S3 when you delete photos. Maybe there is some sort of error or permission issue.
