Website Is Being Redirected

So I was just notified by a customer that when someone uses a search engine to find us, they click on what they assume is our link to our website but is redirected to a totally different one (a pharmaceutical one). I have no idea where to begin to figure out how to fix this. Now if the type our address directly in the search bar, it goes to our site.

So is this something in the search engines?

You site was probably compromised at some point and the .htaccess file was probably modified. I have seen this tactic before.

In your Sytist admin click settings in the main menu. Then underneath the left menu click "edit .htaccess file". Select all and delete everything out of that file and it should fix it.
