Booking Calendar Allowing Bookings To Exceed My Business Hours

Tim,

I'm not sure how to best handle these issues, but hopefully, I can explain it clearly enough to point out the issues.

My business hours are Mon.-Sat. 9am to 5pm. I offer various real estate photography services with each service taking a certain number of hours to shoot.

Issue #1 : My issue is if I have a client book a shoot that lasts 3 hours, the calendar is allowing another client the ability to book a different session on the same day that takes 7 hours for example.

Issue #2: The other is the calendar allowing the client to book a session late in the day which would cause me to have to work outside of my business hours. For example, say I have a session that takes me 5 hours to shoot, the calendar still allows a client to book a session all the way up to 4:30 PM. If this booking happens I would be shooting until 9:30 pm. How do I fix this so I am not having to work outside of my business hours when clients book?

To compensate for the last issue I set any services that is more than 4 hours to all-day events, which may be the cause for the first issue above. I'm not sure. but is that possible?

Okay, Shout out to Tim for his support. Tim emailed me and I wanted to share how to fix the issues above.

On Issue # 1 :
I discovered that when I manually edited a client booking I did not check the All Day Event box, thus it allowed another client to book that same day.

On Issue #2:
Tim schooled me on how to use the Custom Available Days feature that allowed me to set the days and times someone could book this service. Custom Available Days were the answer. I just used the same business days as I offer, but changed the times they could select and stopped X number of hours before my normal closing time. So for example, I operate M-Sat 9 am- 5 pm, and I offer a service or package that takes 6 hours to shoot. Under Custome Available Days, I ticked off Mon-Sat and set my start hour to 9 am and end time to 11 am. So if a client wants this service, they can book a start time between 9-11 am which if 11 am is chosen as the start time, the shoot should wrap up exactly around 5 pm. (I also chose 30 Minute increments)

Hope this helps others facing these same issues.
