I know this has been asked previously.

Has there been any update on having the ability to create a coupon that only be used on a specific gallery?

No gallery specific coupons but you can run a sale and apply the sale price list to the gallery.

Thanks for the reply Tim.

My customers can pre-order to get 10 downloads for a certain event at a discounted price.

I don't want someone with a 'Pre-Order' coupon to be able use it for images from multiple events they might have attended just the one event (gallery) they have pre-ordered for.

Do you have any suggestions?

Cheers,
Steve

If they have already pre-paid for the downloads, then you could give them download credits to redeem and download at no additional cost.

Hi Tim, can I limit the credits to certain gallery?

No, there is not an option to limit them to a certain gallery.

You could create different download products in Photo Products -> Product Base where some allow use of download credits and some don't. And only have the ones that allow use of download credits in the price list you assign to those galleries so other galleries won't have the download credits option.

I am having an issue with this too. It must not be easy to find a solution because I am sure you would have designed it in already. The problem for me is I'm having repeat sports event patrons using a credit from one event to buy pay to view access for the next event. I am using the pay to view to prevent freeloaders and stimulate sales, and its getting defeated somewhat. The same could happen with download credits if they are not gallery-specific.

Only thing I can think of is to make a list of credits and for which event manually in a worddoc, delete the credits and leave everyone a message to contact me to use their credit for the right event.

Any new workaround or idea would be great. Can you generate a code the gallery would apply to a certain gallery only?

yup - this has been problematic for me as well.

Limiting download credits to a single gallery would be an ideal solution.

there is no simple workaround for this. It is in my notes to look into.

I think This is becoming more of an issue with the use of browser extensions like Honey. Customers are using coupon codes for galleries that have nothing to do with the gallery they are buying photos from. Tough to tell them it doesn't work like that.

I think it's a "Honey" thing too Joey. But also, yeah, I see some customers over several events so sometimes they use a credit for one gallery on another.
Annoying, but I don't have a huuuuge amount of crossover, so I just wear it. Commenting to stay in the loop!

Would like to throw our name in the hat as someone that would like to see coupon codes apply to specific galleries.

Our case deals with prepay only galleries. We have a school that would like us to offer a coupon to PTA members as an incentive for those families. We can't really do an all encompassing gallery sale for this case. We also don't want someone sharing that code intended for School A with a family at School B that could be used on School B's gallery. I also agree the coupon browser extensions are rather clever these days with regards to caching a code that applies site wide. More work for our CS team to monitor sales and convince families that the code was not applicable to their school.

Definitely understand we won't see an update "tomorrow," but please consider this for a future update.
