Deleted People

I have no idea what happened but a bunch of recently registered people seem to be missing. Their transactions are there but the accounts and associated contracts are gone. I did do a cleanup on the people but should have been accounts unused over 365 days. I can see the people still in the "erase person search". Is there anyway to restore these accounts?
Tks,
Gavin

If you deleted those accounts, there is not a way to restore them. Maybe those recently registered people that got deleted, you created the accounts and they never logged in?

Thanks Tim, definitely a bummer. I lost almost all of my new 2019 clients I had setup in the system with their retainer invoice and contracts. They would have paid invoices and signed contracts so not logged in but how would they fall into - "unused accounts over 365 days"?

If they have paid an invoice or signed a contract, they probably didn't actually log in. When running the "Show accounts that have not been active more than XXX days", it checks the last active date for their account which is updated when they log in or return to the site logged in. So if they never actually logged into their account, there is not date there. Sorry, just did not think of that scenario.

Yes, the phrase "unused accounts over 365 days" does not make me think that accounts I just created will be included. Also, while these account holders did not log in the accounts were active as the clients paid invoices and signed contracts all of which don't require them to login.

Just another thought.. If I cannot undo all of the client deletions then is there anyway to re-add the same client again (which I will have to do anyway) and then attach the previous invoices and contracts back to their new account? The invoices and contracts are still in the system.

If they don't log into their account, it won't update their last active date.

The only way to reattached them would be to create a new account for the customer. Then you would have to go into the actual database by using PHPMyAdmin in your hosting control panel.

Go into the ms_people table and get the new account id which is the p_id variable.

Then find the order in the ms_orders table. Update the order_customer value to the new account ID (the p_id).

For contracts, go to the ms_contracts table and update the person_id value.

Would a database restore, restore those accounts at least? That's if you had made a backup prior.

Yes it would, but it would also delete any new data since the database backup was created.

Thanks Tim, using your PHP instructions I was able to restore 18 account holders and reattach their contracts and orders. It wasn't too bad as each time I created a new account the ID was only +1 from the previous and the contracts and orders still retained previous info so were easy to find.

A backup restores would have been ideal but I am a bit naughty and well behind from a backup. Obviously I should have done one prior to the people purge.

Best,
Gavin
