Processing Uploaded Files Throwing 500 Error

Hello, just tonight I uploaded a 181 image gallery via FTP and went to process it in the admin panel. On the screen in the browser, I'm seeing the "processing photos. do not leave this window." message but no photos are showing up. I cal see the page refresh every 10 seconds or so, but again, no images are showing up. I checked the Apache error logs, and this is what I'm seeing (see screenshot attached).
I've never had this issue before...and the only change I made to the domain recently was to increase the PHP post_max_size to 16M, since the previous limit of 8M was too small for the full size photo downloads I offer. This, too, I found by checking the Apache error logs. That said, after this post max size change was made, my very next order that required a download showed a broken image when I replaced the image on the order.
No clue if these two items are related. But something funky is going on at the moment and I have no idea where to begin.
Any suggestions? Please, thank you, and everything in-between.
I am running Sytist 3.2.2.

It is probably the PHP memory_limit is too low to process the photos. See this:

Great, thank you, Tim. I have no idea how, but the memory limit found its way down to 16M. That would definitely cause the issue. Everything is working now. Sigh. :)
