Corrupt Installation Or Host Issue?

210 posts

I'm wondering if I somehow have a corrupt Sytist installation or if my host is the issue. Several things aren't working like they used to before moving to a new host. (ionBlade) The new Sytist version will not unzip. Also on a customer's order when selecting "manage photos" it sends me to a new tab that is blank. The zip file is never created.

I sent a support request to my host about making sure the zip function is enabled and they responded saying it is. (see attached photo). Is there anything I can do to correct these issues?

Thanks so much,
John

It is a host issue.

Download this zip file:
https://www.picturespro.com/sy-misc/sytist-check-requirements.zip

Unzip it to your computer and upload the included sytist.php in your admin in Design -> Misc. Images & files then click the link for it and it will show if the zip functions are enabled or not.

Thanks Tim:
I had already done that and sent it to my host tech support. The pic I added to my initial question was in response to it. I did it again and this is what I got:

Checking hosting requirements for Sytist

PHP Version: 7.0.32
MySQLi is supported
File Writable: yes
GD Library: bundled (2.1.0 compatible)
PHP Safe mode: Off
Looks like everything is good and Sytist should work fine on this hosting.
The PHP on your hosting does not support reading EXIF data from photos
The ZIP function is NOT enabled in the PHP configuration. In order for people to download photos in a zip file, you will need to have your hosting company enable the ZIP functions in the PHP settings on your hosting.
