Putting Photo(s) On Home Page

This is going to sound so silly but I am struggling to upload an image to our home page.
We have had sytist 3 or more years now and love it. However somethings are just not obvious to me. I would like to put several small images or one larger image on the page under the word home of fine photography.
It should be easy, but I just don't get it. :-(
Attached is a rough sample of what I would like to put in the spot.
What am I missing..help

Go to Site Content -> Manage Home Page.
There is a Page Designer button. You can use that to do that:
