Cron Emails For Gallery Expire Sent Late.

Hi, is there any reason why my system may have sent out Gallery Expiring emails a month after the gallery expired?

I have no idea. Are they late to arrive or were they just sent? You can look in Stats -> Email Logs when they were sent.

The emails went out on August 26th telling people the gallery will be expiring on July 12th. The problem is this is an annual event for me and the email is referring to last years event but people are thinking it refers to this years which we did in mid July. I tend to keep the active for 12 months.

Have you turned off / on the automated emails or cron job?
Maybe they were added to the queue when it was time for them to expire and just went out yesterday for some reason.
When it checks for expired galleries, it checks for the actual expiration date ... not around the expiration date.
And in Settings -> Automated Emails, you don't have any negative values for days do you?
