We would like to make certain products available for purchase only after a package has been selected. For instance we have an item says "Add a pose to senior package". It allows them to add another pose to a package that has a limited number of poses.

But we have people ordering it alone. Thinking they are getting deal.

Is there a solution already available?

In your price lists you can create product groups. And you have have it so they have to select something from one product group (package) before they can add other products to cart.

See under "Require a selection from this group before selecting products from other groups".

Hi Tim,

I have a problem that is related to this topic.

I have created three product groups.
-Packages
-Build your own
-Add-ons

I need some way to set it up so customers cannot purchase anything from the Add-ons group unless they first purchase from either the Packages group OR the Build your own group.

If I Set the group Packages to "Require a selection from this group before selecting products from other groups". This forces customers to buy a Package before they can Build their own. This defeats the Build your own section.

I need to be able to force customers to buy a Package before buying Add-ons.
OR
Buy a Build your own before buying Add-ons.

Is there any way to set a group (ie: Add-ons) to restrict it to not be available unless there is a purchase from any one of another group?

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Todd

The only option is for "Require a selection from this group before selecting products from other groups". There is not an option for them to have to select from either product group.

You would have to put all products that you would require them to select from into 1 product group.
