I charge tax after a credit has been applied to an order but I'm not seeing if there is a way to get the cart to calculate it after a credit is applied? Can a coupon be a flat rate like a credit and is this a way to get around this issue?
For example, if my client makes a $300 order and has a $150 credit, I want tax to be charged on the remaining $150 that they owe, not the full $300.

A credit comes off like a payment so the tax is first calculated. You can create a flat rate coupon and then it will calculate tax after the discount.

Thank you, Tim! I will try that instead of the credit.
