Blocking Isp

Hi I have been getting a lot of hits on my analytics reports/ site visitors list from various ips ending with this us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com.

They seem to be crawling or scanning the site so is there any way to block them please.

You would have to edit the .htaccess file to block IP addresses.

You can edit it from your Sytist admin by clicking Settings in the main menu then edit .htaccess underneath the left menu.

You would need to add this code and add the IP addresses. Add the IP address and not us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com

Order Deny,Allow
Deny from 97.74.233.189
Deny from 46.161.9.32
Deny from 79.181.150.144

Is this the only method available as it seems to b different ip addresses each time?

Think I may have to lodge a complaint with Amazon AWS
