Orders Not Recorded

I am running the latest version of Sytist.
Two clients placed orders today paying by paypal but I neither got an email about the order nor were they recorded in Sytist.
I tested it myself and the same thing happened. I also noticed that having paid via paypal, the item I ordered was still in my cart. When I went to place another order, the previous item was still there.
Note, clients are not required to set up an account or log in to place an order.
Best regards
Eoin Ruairi

That means for some reason PayPal is unable to communicate back to the server (IPN) to create the order.
Is your PayPal account a business account? If it is a personal account, you need to change it to a business account.

Tim,
I emailed my host service and they told me to set it up on paypal. I found the appropriate section on paypal and followed the instructions.
The istructions on paypal talk of a url for the IPN listener. Is that my website or the subdirectory where Sytist is installed or is it deeper than that?

Hi Tim,
As you know from private emails, this problem was sorted on Thursday night last week. I emailed my website hosting service, and asked them to look again at my hosting and at the settings on the servers relevant to my site. They had earlier told me the problem was not theirs and it must be either the programme I was using or my paypal settings.
About an hour later, the ordering system started working. I received no explanation from the host company Seanic.net. But it is working!
Thank you for your help in this.
