Yesterday I had a strange error occur when a client tried to submit an order. They used the CC option which uses Authorize.net.
I received the below message from Authorize.net:
Authorize.Net Merchant,
Your script timed out while we were trying to post transaction results to it.
Transaction ID: 40618964288
Transaction Result: This transaction has been approved.
The following message was displayed to the customer:
------------------------------An error occurred while trying to report this transaction to the merchant. An e-mail has been sent to the merchant informing them of the error. The following is the result of the attempt to charge your credit card.
This transaction has been approved.
It is advisable for you to contact the merchant to verify that you will receive the product or service.
------------------------------
I then logged in to Authorize.net and confirmed that the transaction was successful.
Meanwhile back in Sytist the contents of the customers cart were still there.
This morning, to complete the transaction I logged in with the clients credentials and processed their cart using a pay later option at checkout. The order went through fine.
While processing the transaction in Sytist I noticed two problems, see attached. Firstly there were no graphics present for payment options. I have checked and the paths and graphics are correct and there. Lastly when selecting the no payment option the other error message appeared.
Looking for help to clear these up.
Best,
gavin

Which authorize.net option are you using? The SIM or AIM option? (Settings -> Checkout & Payment)
I am going to guess the SIM option. This option sends them away from your site for them to enter in their card details and the posts back to the server. It is possible there was just a network issue at that time which caused Authorize.net not be able to send the data to Sytist to create the order.
If you have an SSL (which I believe you do) you would be much better off using the AIM option. The customer never leaves your website when payment and shouldn't have this happen.
What is the other error? You can email me screenshots if needed.

Thanks Tim, yes the SIM option and yes, I should explore the AIM option as that would be better.
I'll email you now on the other errors.
