Change Photo To Free Download After 1 Purchase

Hello,

Is it possible to change a photo to free download after one purchase?

Example: You upload 100 photos to an Event Gallery and set them to $1.00 per digital download. After one person purchases a photo, that photo becomes free to download for others who have access to the gallery.

Please let me know if I need to explain in greater detail.

I'm adding to this question to see if anyone has ideas how to accomplish something similar so gallery photos for an even are not purchased multiple times by different clients.

Example: You create an Event Gallery and upload 100 photos, you have 100 guests. Each guest has access to the gallery via password. When they visit the gallery photos that have already been purchased are available for download, but they could purchase photos that have not been.

I know Tim stated this function is not available, I'm curious if anyone has a similar need and has found a workaround solution with Sytist.

I've got a similar idea, where I would like to enable a free download of a photo after a certain dollar amount is paid. In other words, "Order over $99 from this photo and receive a free download." My dollar value is higher but the goal is similar.

The only method I've found so far is basically doing it manually; after a purchase is made I can change the price list to allow free downloads, or just email them the file. For you John, it might work to make a sub-gallery with a different price list and move the photos that have been purchased into there. It's just clunky and not very automatic.

More generally, the idea of something unlocking after a purchase would be very useful; "free gift with purchase" or "spend $100 get a photo mug" or "buy one, get the rest at 50% off" type thing. Even to have a different price list kick in after an order is placed would be useful.
