I am having problems getting the S3 Amazon link to work. i have an S3 account set up. i copied the access key, secret key to the sytist config. input the bucket name and there are 3 endpoints and i have tried each.
i have enabled using s3 Settings Photo page. i have tried the s3 move to amazon s3 now. and i have tried moving the files using the Move to S3 button on site content galleries photos page.

when i have the move to S3 now box checked nothing.

i uncheck it and then use the move to S3 button on the site contect galleries photos page. when the small box is displayed and it says move photos to amazon s3, i select start move, a timer circle is displayed next to the first image file and the small box just jumps and flickers. there is also a message at the top of the small box working do not close this window. the only way i can get it to stop is to close out my sytist.

Help please!!

Try clicking on Settings in the main menu.

Then under the left menu, click edit config file.

Before the closing PHP tag ?> ... add this line of code:

$setup['amazon_s3_ssl'] = true; // When photos won't move to amazon because of a proxy.

If that doesn't work, then try creating a new bucket but select a USA region, and for the end point, use s3.amazonaws.com.

if i choose the option to "move to s3 now" how long should it take for a folder with 1 image to move to s3?

The photos are moved to Amazon S3 into your bucket into a directory of the date they are uploaded. It doesn't create directories within that directory.
