Project Proofing - Remove

Hi there

My preferred workflow is to create a project proofing gallery, assign it to a client, then email the client and remind them of their password. The client account is already created, so if they have past photo shoots, all their shoots will show up when they log in. This is perfect.

1/ When the company hires a new person to deal with the photographer, is there a way to "transfer" this to another contact within the company? Do I need to create a new client / edit the email address? What if I want to keep two contacts on file for a single client?

2/ For the project proofing, I want to remove the "approve / reject" feature. I just want users to select favourites. I just need a "once and for all" selection from the client, with no back and forward / revisions, etc.

3/ I know there's a way to get notes for each image, using "request revision". However, this doesn't fit with my workflow, I'd rather a user selected a photo for editing, and gave their editing notes. I know this is really similar, but I think the "request revision" is designed for a proofing process that has revisions, whereas I want users to be able to be sure they have selected something as a deliverable

4/ Finally, I'm directing clients to the URL for the proofing section, i.e. mydomain.com/proofs - there's a login screen and when they enter email / password they are taken straight to their proofing galleries.

Is there a way for them to see other items as well, like contracts etc.? What's the URL for them to see those things? Can they be viewed from the same place?

Thanks

Mat

1) I would create a new account for the new person then assign the galleries / projects to their account.

2) You might be better off then just creating a gallery in a client gallery section with no price list and have them just add to favorites.

3) I can't think of a way to accomplish this because there is no note option when someone approves something in project proofing, only when requesting revisions.

4) If you send them the link to their My Account section (like index.php?view=account), they will find all of those there.

Tim, thanks so much. I've owned your excellent software for about a year now and only just started to migrate from Zenfolio. Your system is a million times better, more flexible, and more streamlined than Zenfolio. I'm so happy I found it!

By the way, if I use Client Galleries (with no price list) instead of project proofing, the user can log into their account area and click "Find my photos". Is there a way to show this gallery as a menu item on the left menu of their account page?

If you use client galleries instead, they can find those galleries in the my account section with the Find My Photos option in the left menu.
