Adding Store Items To Collections

Is there a way to add store items to a collection? I want to create a collection with some prints and then maybe a mug (which is an item in the store). Or do I need to have the mug listed in the store and in the product base to make this work?

You would basically have to create the store item you want in the collection in your product base as an other item (Photo Products -> Product Base). Then select that to be in the collection. It does have to be in the price list or anything, you can just select it to be in the collection that way.

Ok thank you.
Is there any possibility of allowing this in the future so you don't have to add the item in more than one place?

I'm stuck on this one - i've successfully created a store item ( I specially want to create as I need items where a photo does NOT need to be selected ), but I cant get it to show in my product base ( it successfully shows as a tab in the ordering gallery ). As it's not in the product base, it means I can't add it to a collection?

Alternatively, if there's some work around to having an item that is part of my collection without needing to be "chosen" that would be ace.

In this case/example - my clients are choosing their images, tick, tick, tick .. and an album is part of the package. I want them to know they are getting an album, but not the confusion of selecting an image for it, if that makes sense.

Thanks :)

There isn't a way to add a store item to a collection. But really all you need to do is put in the name or description of the collection that it includes an album since they won't be selecting photos for it.

Thanks Tim - yes, I currently do this and it does sound simple, but people simply don't read - but they do tend to skip to the "product count" in the "collection includes" auto-generated listing.
So I switched to having them physically select the album and now they think the image is the cover ( even when I state it is not, or include a gallery photo that IS the front of the album, to select )..

When editing your collections, there is an option "Do not show what products are included in the collection". You can check that and it won't show what products are included (the auto-generated one based on the products in the collection) and just put in the description what all is included.
