Help (from Community?) - "sheet Pricing" And Quantity Discounts

We sell "portrait sheets" to our clients from their portraits, so I have created photo products like this:

Sheet A - One 8x10" print
Sheet B - Two 5x7" prints
Sheet C - Four 4x6" prints

And so forth.

I would like to hear suggestions about how to price these with effective quantity discounts. On paper, if they order a "Sheet A" from one image, then a "Sheet B" from the same image would be discounted. (Once we have done the retouching on an image, further photos from the same image are offered at a discount.) In Sytist you can only discount multiples of the same product - or allow discounting of the product with any photo - but not discount a product category or anything like that.

Does anyone else use Sytist to sell "portrait sheets" from different photos, and how do you go about it?

You could create a product called something like Sheet , and then create an option (dropdown) for the configuration. (One 8x10" print, Two 5x7" prints, etc ... )

I had originally thought that would be tricky for a client to figure out, but after playing with it a bit I think that could work well! I will try it with some clients and see how it goes - thanks for the idea.

I am bringing back an old topic relevant to my situation. I am selling School Portrait Sheets with the option (dropdown) for the configuration. (One 8x10" print, Two 5x7" prints, etc ... ). Is there a way to limit the quantity discount to one student? (I am using the passcode method to retreive the photos) Currently when a parent orders Portrait Sheets for 2 or 3 kids on the same order they get a generous quantity discount (3 kids x 3 sheets cost them 46$ with the current quantity discount when it should cost 1 kid x 3 sheets x 3 orders = 60$).

There is not a way to limit the quantity discounts to one student or gallery.

Patrice, would it work for you to set the discount as 'per photo' ?
