Store Item Shipping

Hi Tim,
I have set up some items (such as a photo album with no photos in it) as a store item so that they can be purchased without a photo needing to be selected. This seems to work well but I am having trouble with the shipping on them.
I can see that I normally set-up shipping at the gallery level. This is great as I can change my shipping option after a certain date separately for each gallery (preschool).
I want the store options to change dates at the same time. Is this possible?
I do preschool photos so I will have different galleries with different dates so I can't change it at the store level. I want it to be free delivery for the first 2 weeks and them postage after that.
Is there a way to make this work - or if not another way to add an album without the client having to select a photo?
Thank you for your help.
Mary

Store items also have a shipping group option and the option to change it after a certain date. When editing it, scroll down the right side of the page for the option.

Hi Tim,
I saw that but how do I manage it if I have one centre where they are in the first 2 weeks of ordering (free delivery) and another where they are at the paid postage stage? Is there a way to make this work or should I be using something other than store for these items?
Thanks

You would have to have a separate product for each one. You can duplicate the current one and just change the date.

I can't think of another way to do it because any products in the product base will have a photo.

Hi Tim,
Will that still work if I use 1 price list for all pre-schools (which is what I want to keep it simple). The store items are part of the products in my price list.
If this won't work then is there another way of doing this without a client having to pick a photo to select the album?
Thanks

Hi Tim,
I was just thinking (I obviously have no idea how easy this is to do) is there any chance of a button that would allow me to overwrite the shipping on store items with the shipping attached to the gallery? The store items work so well for the albums and even group photos.
Thanks

I just thought of a way for you to do it.

Create those products as a collection/package. Photo Products -> Collections. And just don't add any products to the collections.

Add those to your price list and when they add an empty collection to cart, it won't add any photos to it.

Hi Tim, Thank you so much. I have tested that and it works. It is a great solution.
